Doesn't really surprise me either that your ex didn't pony up for #2 surgery (even if it was only a share of the bill). Can't even call him a man on principle now, since he's violated a sacred oath of all men concerning offspring :<

Dunno what I can say about a fellow FFFer not talking to ya. It's mighty sad to hear, but unless you feel comfy sharing the details, not really my business. Just know that I got faith it will work out between the two of ya;D

And I know the feeling about pets and ice cream. Bought myself a lovely tub of French Vanilla, was enjoying it one night while watching some tube until some minor crisis arose and I had to go help...leaving it available for my dog to get his snout at. One-half to three-quarters of it was gone by the time I got back:(

And finally...gotta love presents from Mom. Always go the distance in making you feel better:D
