Saturday Morning Blues

"I think you ought to know, I'm feeling very depressed."

Actually, its true. I went to bed at about 9 oclock because I had a luggage load detail at 0400. What was suppposed to be a volunteer thing(but I was voluntold)for 1500 on Friday afternoon, turned into a 0400 detail, and they called me at 10oclock to tell me that I needed to report at 1600 on Saturday afternoon. As you can see, because my boss doesn't see working in an office as "real" work, my weekend is slowly being pulled to pieces for no good reason.

You know, I thought if I got it all out, I'd feel better...I don't.

So, I get up, and I try to watch "The Phantom of the Opera"...and, I'm enjoying it...Its not even really a good movie. But, I like it nonetheless. But, my children...They LOVE it. So, when it comes time for me to try to get them ready for me to take them out to lunch...they won't budge. Where's my wife in all this? National Scrapbooking Day...Whatever the hell that is. Of course, it is a source of constant amusement to me that (now she won't even say it) my daughter calls the film "The Fambly in the Operar"

So, I'm going to clean my children up, clean myself up, head to Red Lobster, go buy some DVDS, and spend an exorbitant (Well, for us)sum of money and generally try to get along with each other as well as we can...

In an edit, I relate this story...I said "Its time to go upstairs, do you want me to take Phantom upstairs so you can keep watching it."

My daughter: "No...I want to watch something good."

Nobody's pleased all the time, I guess...

CHOSEN1

I haven't watched Phatom of the Opera yet. I used to have the soundtrack to the play in college, and I loved it. Anyway, Cheer up Charlie, and have some chocolate, you'll feel better.

CANTON

sounds like the same ol' s**t that runs down for airmen all the time buddy. Good luck to ya, and remember alcohol is cheap at the Shoppette/Class 6 and has been shown to be theraputic. . .

STARRBABY

Isn't that movie the greatest?
I saw the Phantom in the theatre when it was first released. I loved the begining when the hoisted the chandalear (sp?) and the opera house "restored" to the past.
I've always loved Webber, and I really liked the movie.
