This seems to be far more than just a messageboard. Nice little blog built in. Well I guess for now I'll talk about my Kaylee costume I'm working on. My hair is blond so that's been an issue, but I'm trying to work out some ideas on making it a bit darker for Dragon Con (something that'll wash out because I have to be a blond for most of my other costumes!). I already had coveralls, from their short lived blip on the fashionable radar. When I first decided to do the costume I already had a shirt in mind and this was only after watching the show all the way through once, so I went and looked again and sure enough she wore a shirt in "Bushwhacked" while playing 'space basketball' as my friends have come to call it. The only difference is the color of the embroidery on hers is oranges and reds and my shirt has blues on it. The sleeves are even very very similar, so I'm pleased with that. I have two pairs of boots, and I'm not sure which I'll wear yet, but both would work. So as it stands at the moment, that's the costume status. Shirt - check, coveralls - check, boots - check, brown hair - a work in progress, engine grease? - probably going to use chocolate syrup, it's a pretty tasty substitute. Now if only I could meet a Simon cosplayer......
