Is Joss a Donald Westlake fan?

I was watching the pilot again the other day and was wondering if the name of the alliance ship, "Dortmunder", was a tip of the hat to Donald Westlake's Dortmunder novels. It's not a very common name. Any other Westlake connections in his work?

If you haven't read any of Westlake's Dortmunder books they are the funniest things out there, all about a "master" criminal whose plans never work out quite the way they are supposed to... The earlier books are the best.
