Alternative Firefly Show?

Due to contractual obligations, even if the movie is successful we won't see the return of Firefly on the small screen. Instead it will be more movies.

What if it there was a related show that wasn't specifically Firefly, though? Would you be interested in a show that followed a group of Browncoats during the war, set in a time before the Firefly show?

Tales of the Browncoats, perhaps? Band of Browncoats? ;)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Would I be interested? Do Reavers rape you to death, eat your flesh and sew your skin into their clothes?!? Of course I would be interested!

I would watch anything that came out that was set in the Firefly verse. A story following a group of Browncoats through the war would be shiny. Kind of like Band of Brothers meets Firefly. How shiny would that be?

There has been talk of a animated movie to fill in the gap between the episode OiS & the movie Serenity, but so far there has been no official word or even comments from Adam or any of the rest of the cast. It is a question I plan to pose to Jewel @ Dragon Con in Atlanta next month.

there are many star-trek shows and I think stargate is doing it soon, can't see why it wouldn't work with firefly
