Tom Luongo brings up a couple of points that I hadn't considered, especially the long-term protection of the Russian government from western intruders and fifth-columnists and carpetbaggers.

Hey, thanks for the bump! I'm sure somebody will learn something from the video. NOT YOU, obviously. but somebody!

Here is another video, same topic, by Luongo and Mercouris, but they spend a lot more time discussing the financial aspects of the Constitutional changes ... specifically how Elivira Nabuilina, current head of Russia's Central Bank, would have to report to the Russian government and not the BIS.

Also they spend a lot of time talking about the Council of Regions (State Council), how it was essentially made of oligarchs (Mercouris called them "barons") and how that will all be revamped.

There's a lot of it I don't understand and would need a second or third listen. We've spent quite aumber of posts here on fff.net discussing the flaws in our Constitution which has allowed the clusterfuck that we have today. I'm sure that these changes to the Russian constitution are designed to solve various problems, however, I'm of the opinion that there is no system that is so self-correcting that it can't be subverted somehow. It would be interesing to pick the proposals apart for points of failure, but I'm just too sick for that right now.

Anger? Who's angry?

Mistrust? Who's the one worried about our elections being hacked?

I never got beat up as a kid, and certainly not when I was going to bars and I was power lifting 30 hours a week after work. My abuse came from bad parenting and neglect at home. Go single moms!
