Hey I just wanted to know if anybody has ordered from Abbyshot the costuming company before and if so are they good quality? I just ordered their new *vegan* Malcolm Reynold's browncoat and i'm slightly worried it might be of crappy quality because of the price difference. The Vegan version is 70% cotton 30% polyester and it's 140 dollars while the full leather one is like 500 bucks. Everyone loves the full leather one and gives it great reviews and it's even featured on ThinkGeek. I just wanted to know if anybody had ordered other things and liked them. I wouldn't mind using the browncoat as a regular everyday coat either since it gets cold out here in the desert lol.

met some of the Abbyshot folk at DragonCon several years ago; I believe their stuff is really good…and they've got good customer service, too.

Their customer service is great! I contacted them with the same question last night and they responded prompt and cordially. They say it's great as an everyday jacket but it is fabric so it's cotton not leather and that's basically the only difference. It's cheaper because it's cotton but he assured me that I could wear it as a regular coat and be fine. I had another person on twitter contact me telling me he owns their Vegan Dante Coat and the quality is great so i'm pretty excited. It should be in hopefully Friday or very early next week (i'll post pics up in the Blue Sun room when I get it in).

Now you can luxuriate in a nice jail cell, but if your hand touches metal I swear by my pretty floral bonnet I will end you.
