I dunno. It doesn't seem like they have enough material to work with ALREADY.

Next week: Join us as we watch improbably pretty people (who might have met some of your favorite superheroes that one time...) get their nails done and go shopping.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

If you think that's what's been going on, you haven't been watching SHIELD.

I don't know much about the Marvel universe, but it seems to me that Guardians of the Galaxy proved there are scores of characters and stories they could chose to focus on in another series.

At least Marvel is keeping their TV and movie franchises cohesive by using the same actors across the different platforms, while DC is killing off characters on Arrow, etc, and re-casting those parts for their films.

2/3rds of this season has been May beating up people and looking tense, Coulson, and Skye... and then there's the other people who pop in for five minutes.

They really really could use another recognizable actor that does something fascinating. The show needs to be tied together and to have a clearer purpose. It's the FBI but run by confused kids that I STILL don't know or like much. Maybe the two SHIELD thing is going somewhere, maybe not...
I'm still waiting...

Really? I think this season is going great. There are finally a ton of unique and interesting characters. There have been plenty of villains to the point where they don't have to spend weeks showing the one bad guy twirling his mustache like season one. This time they just tell cool stories each week and focus on whichever characters make sense.

That being said I don't feel like it's a good time for a spinoff. At least not if it's going to take any of the main cast from SHIELD. It's finally firing on all cylinders. I wouldn't mess with the formula so soon.

My problem is I am always going to compare everything that has Joss's name on it to Firefly. The characters, the moments, and it had a POINT- a damn fine one at that... I still find the relevance every day- they ARE trying to "make" us better, while they poison us, and pretend to be our savior or protector (while they shoot us in the back).

I'm still trying to find the POINT of AOS. I get that he's supposed to be trying to rebuild an agency and that they have things they need to attend to day to day... but I'm still waiting for the "ah ha" moment. It's a loooong wait just to see the point here.

I think we're going to see the point over the next few episodes, since Age of Ultron premieres on May 1. That gives them three weeks worth of story that has to lead up to the events in the movie, and three after that to deal with the fallout from it. If not, then I will agree they've dropped the ball, but I don't think that will be the case.

The first season was hampered by being more a place holder for events that didn't occur until Captain America 2. Since then they've been lining up everything that will come to fruition in Ultron and beyond. My guess is that the spin-off will be the Inhumans story line, since there will be a movie of that title further along in the MCU. My only complaint for the series would be the numerous double agent scenarios, or in several instances, fake outs.

Really? They think THEY can hold a series all on their own??

And it means they'll be getting back together, ick.

I hope they don't screw up the main series. It is so good right now. Everything is coming together really well. They've actually made a situation where characters believably don't understand what the other characters are doing. It's not like in Arrow where characters are upset with each other and they've voiced their concern but then they just choose not to communicate and clear up the misunderstanding. In SHIELD there's actual reasons why things are unclear between characters and it's creating very interesting situations. I have no idea how this season is going to end and that's awesome IMO.

I'll have to wait to see what happens with those two characters on SHIELD before I know if I'd care for them in their own series. I hope that article is correct and that it does follow events we are seeing now, rather than a prequel.
