... and, about 100 yards up the sidewalk, are three Arlington County police cruisers and one unmarked vehicle, out of nowhere, cutting off traffic.

We then see three uniforms, in body armor, hands on weapons, cautiously approach a large gentleman who also appears to be heavily armed. So, we stop. Also cautiously.

Then I look a little closer…

They’re busting Jayne Cobb!

Clearly, the big guy who dressed as Jayne for the costume contest should have won!

I guess somebody had phoned 911 about a big, menacing, armed fellow walking the streets…

Classic.

Ha- ya. Except these guys were totally responsive!

And, sorry, yes, they all got a laugh out of it. I overheard one officer say, "Well, at least I got to drive up the street the wrong way. That was fun."

Amusing end to an excellent afternoon.

He definitely had The Hat for the contest, but I didn't see it as we walked by. Maybe he took it off, when confronted, in order to look less... cunning. :)

My friend emailed me later saying she wished she'd taken a picture, but, to be honest, when it was going down, and before I realized it was Jayne, I was more looking for a car to duck behind..!

Someone called the cops on a CSTS screening I was at once because a Mal cosplay had a fake gun in a holster. Granted in the holster you couldn't see the orange tip but seriously people. This was in TX btw where you should just assume everyone is carrying a gun.
