No more running. I aim to misbehave.

Nathan Fillion is scheduled to be in St. Louis at the beginning of April. One of those Wizard World Cons. Has anyone been to one of those? I have a question. How do you get into the panel?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Depends on the con and how many high profile guests are conducting panels and how many fans show up. I haven't seen Nathan at a con yet, but I have several other of the crew. In Dallas, they have changed the procedure every time I've been there, plus they've changed the venue three times to my recollection. When I saw Adam, Jewel, Ron and Sean a couple of years ago, there were three levels of admission, VIP, Priority and General Admission, depending on how much you were able to spend. The VIP people always got to go into the panel room first and got the prime seats, then the Priority group came next. In that instance, there was standing room only for a few of the general admission crowd, but there wasn't enough room for the majority of them.

Nathan is supposed to also be in Dallas in May, and he better not cancel the way he did last year. They've moved once again, from the Irving Convention Center to the downtown Dallas convention center, so they have five or six times the space as before, so hopefully there will be at least one very large panel room so that all who want can get to see him. Of course, I don't know if he will conduct a panel yet, as they are in the process of re-doing their website.

The best way to find out details is look at their site - http://www.wizardworld.com/home-stlouis.html - and if you don't find the information you're looking for, there is a "contact us" link at the bottom of the page.

Hi

Further to the last response, I'm afraid it is really easy - you queue.

All of the US cons that I have attended generally allow you to queue approximately an hour (give or take) before the panel starts. The only one where I didn't have to queue was, funnily enough, the Fan Days in Dallas in October 2012 (with Gina and Alan); I remember just wandering into the panel about half an hour before it started. All very civilized as I recall.

I also attended the Philadelphia Wizard World (Adam, Gina, Jewel and Summer)last year and by the time I was able to get Summer's auto, if it hadn't had been for the Take Back The Sky/Pittsburgh CSTS lads, I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have got in. I think some fans started queuing for almost 2 hours before the panel. The undisputable fact is that now Nathan doesn't attend as many cons as he once did, his panel is going to be very, very, very popular and I would say be prepared to queue for a not inconsiderable amount of time.

I hope you enjoy yourself at the con.

America loves a winner!

I went to the panel here in ATL right before the BDM came out. The place was jammed full. Hard to believe it'll be 9 years , come next September. Wow.

I suspect the crowds are still decent in size, and w/ Nathan doing so well on CASTLE, that has to help.

You'll have a blast. I did.

For Nathan I'd either line up early or get his VIP package for guaranteed seating. Last year in STL there were no issues with panels, but it was also the first year of that con. Jewel just spoke to a standing room only crowd in Kansas City, if that means anything.

His autograph is $99 and William Shatners is $75. Fascinating...

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I would imagine his current work in Castle is driving a good bit of that cost.

I had seen that cost on the St. Louis con site, but Dallas Comic-Con hasn't posted the autograph or photo-op prices yet. Last year Nathan was going to be charging $70, but of course the con gets a percentage of that although I don't know how much. But he cancelled at the last minute, so now I suppose I will have to pay more for the privilege, if I do decide to go that is. I need Nathan's autograph on the #1 Serenity comic and his Inkworks card, and if I get those I will only be lacking Summer's card to complete the set. If she is a last-minute addition to the guest list (which she was a couple of years ago but I wasn't aware of it in time) I will definitely go no matter the cost. She is the only one of the nine main stars I haven't met yet.

I don't know if there will be a Firefly panel at Dallas Comic Con, but if there is it should be fantastic. They just added Morena to the guest list which already included Nathan, Adam, Alan, Jewel, Ron and Sean. Now they just need to get Summer and Gina, and a true coup would be Joss.

MOOSE

I've been in Orlando for business this week and just found out Megacon is going on.
None of the BDHs are attending, but Eliza Dushku and James Marsters will be.

I think I'll give it a look. It'll be my first Con.
