Isn't that just the lamest subject line ever? I was gonna make it "Riddick vs. The World," but then you'd think this had nothing to do with Firefly. It sorta does.

On 6/11 we get "The Chronicles of Riddick" in theaters. You may have seen an ad or two.

On the following Tuesday, 6/15. there's something called "Dark Fury," an animated movie from Peter Chung ("Aeon Flux") coming straight-to-video at a store near you.

Now for the Firefly tie-in: though the story for "Dark Fury" was conceived by David Twohy, writer/director of "Chronicles" and other movies.... the actual SCRIPT for "Fury" was written by -- Brett Matthews, author of "Heart of Gold."

You'll notice, as the episodes are ranked, "Heart of Gold" ain't exactly near the top, but.... for those of you into Anime, Firefly, or Vin Diesel, I thought I'd throw this out there.

One should note that 'Chronicles of Riddick' is suppose to be a Sci-Fi Action as opposed to 'Pitch Black' which is a Sci-Fi Horror where we are first introduced to Riddick.

I actually liked 'Pitch Black' but I also like how they're aren't going for another Sci-Fi Horror with the sequel and rather are doing a Sci-Fi Action. I think Riddick will fit much better into the Sci-Fi Action than the Sci-Fi Horror.
