Okay so the other day I was watching the gift, the supernatural thriller with kate blanchett as the psycic woman who gets visions of Katie holmes who is dead in a pond and stuff but i'll get to my point. The score. it sounds similar to that of firefly, and when I say similar I mean I’d swear bits of it were identical. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this or if it was just me and my ears playing tricks.

I've never seen The Gift but if the soundtrack is similair to Firefly's then I may just have to check said soundtrack out.

I loved the music and I can't wait until the official Firefly soundtrack is released. Even if the music from this movie is even close I can find all manner of uses for it.

It is a great soundtrack! The "theme" song at the end is "Furnace Room Lullaby" by Neko Case and Her Boyfriends. The whole album is extremely Firefly-esque, or at least I thought so. In fact, I've assigned each character a song from the Furnace Room Lullaby album -- it helped me get through cancellation. "Furnace Room Lullaby" is obviously the River song.

I can't speak for the movie, not having seen it, but Neko Case is amazing. Few artists I can think of share her combination of an incredible voice and the ability to use it to maximum effect. And her songwriting is sublime.
