The news feed has not had an update since April 1. www.fireflyfans.net/fireflynewsrss.asp There are 290 subscribers for it on Google Reader. I am feeling uninformed and out of the loop.

The other feeds are getting daily updates, but they have one subscriber on Google Reader (me, who signed up today) Fan Fictions, Arts, and Videos » www.fireflyfans.net/latestbluesunrss.aspx Latest Discussions » www.fireflyfans.net/latestdiscussionsrss.aspx

I'm thinking that the news feed with at least 290 subscribers deserves updating more frequently than the RSS feeds that might have as few as one subscriber.

Clicking on any item in the discussions news feed, such as "The Secret Firefly/Serenity Easter Egg in Cabin in the Woods” http://bit.ly/IIfgY1 opens a wrong hyperlink:

fireflyfans.net/msgthread.aspx?tid=51712 giving an error FIREFLYFANS.NET FILE NOT FOUND fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?bid=2&tid=51712 is the correct link. bid=2 is in the link.

I added a latestmsgboardrss.aspx page to handle RSS of the various msgboards on the site.

For the news discussions, it would be:

http://www.fireflyfans.net/latestmsgboardrss.aspx?bid=7

On the next update I'll add a RSS button to all the msgboards so that it'll make it easier to subscribe to them.

It works! I do rename the feed, but when I subscribe, the feed name is “FIREFLYFANS.NET: News Headline Discussions Discussions,” which is redundant redundant.
