KINGOFTHEMUDDERS

On tonights episode of CSI I am 99.99% sure that Kimberly McCollough (I believe that is the right actress) - who played the traitorous whore in HoG - played a pseudo-vampire. Last night (Wed), I watched an episode where Melinda Clarke played Lady Heather - a dominatrix. A month-or-two back I saw another episode where Badger played a photographer. And I believe a few episodes back Gina Torres had a role as well on the show.

So my question is, to you fine folk of FFF.net, what is the connection between CSI and Firefly??

Of course, it could just be these are fine actors who get hired because of their acting ability; but, personally, I hope it's something more (the prospects of Nathan Fillion and William Peterson working a scene together... Oh daddy.)

Also, Sean Maher played a real scumbag in an Episode of CSI:Miami last year. Raped a corpse. Blech. It does lead one to wonder if they use the same casting agent or something.

Also, this is my first time in this forum, so I just want to say Hi to everyone out there!

Yep, that's our girl. You're 100% right. Kimberly aka "Chari" has been getting herself some work. Good for her. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005205/

I'd guess actors find work in projects which often target similar demographics? Don't know much about the specifics of how all that works. Just seems that Joss is able to get some really good talent.

My guess would be that they have a casting director in common. "24" has also had a lot of actors from Joss Whedon shows - Gina Torres (Zoe, Jasmine), D.B. Woodside (Principal Wood), Daniel Dae Kim (Gavin), Harris Yulin (Quentin Travers) and Eric Balfour (Jesse) have all had recurring roles.

Well, I just started watching Firefly a couple weeks ago and I was trying to figure out where I'd seen his face before and it was driving me nuts, so I went on the imdb and he had been in the Springbreak ep of CSI:Miami and I knew right away who he'd been. And I just marveled at the man's skills, 'cause Simon is so adorable and the guy he played on CSI was such a completely evil lowlife! And I hated him too, so don't feel bad

I know I'll dig this information out myself before anyone answers this but should someone know of the top of their heads the names of those CSI:Miami episodes where A.Baldwin and S.Maher appear I'd appreciate it.

Anyway thanks for the tip.

I don't watch CSI, but Kimberly was also on Once and Again. She played Eli's girlfriend...I think her name was Jen or something like that. I miss that show...
