Alpha Questions - No Spoilers Past the Episode 'The Attic' please!

Please don't read this unless you've seen it up to the episode "The Attic", or don't care about spoilers.

Okay.

So Alpha's last appearance was pretty cool, but I can't help be feel that he's gone to the primary bane of the Dollhouse's existance, to being just a rogue nuisance who exists only to justify his existance by annoying others.

I mean, the whole Rossum and Epitah One conspiracy seems far greater and weightier than the temper tantrums of Alpha.

What do you think? Is he gonna fit into the whole Rossum thing more than we realize?

That guy, Arcane, or the real guy behind it, who was a founder of Rossum, and they made a double of him....and his partner used that double to betray him....any chance either the partner's personality or part of "Arcane's" personality is driving Alpha?

That last part would be an interesting twist. The way I see it Alpha exists within the framework of the story as a precursor to Echo's emergence. He is the catalyst for just about everything that has happened thus far. I don't know if he will serve any other purpose before the series ends but it would be nice if he made one more appearance.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . I may not understand whats happening, but IMHO I think Alpha was the 'decoy' and was/is in on the plot that, Adele & gang are working on. He was the thing that allowed them to cover up what they were up to. Everybody was so preoccupied with him that they missed the little things in the back ground and didn't pay enought attention to Adele & crew? Thoughts please?

I will HAVE to watch it all over and really pay attention to every word and action,.....I want the DVD's NOW!!!!! Has anyone seen a release date for Season 2?

Also, there exists Clyde's former partner and co-founder of the Dollhouse, who we will call PERSON, and Clyde 2.0 - the imprint of Clyde that "may have already changed bodies".

So a person who is 16 years older than they were when they double-crossed Clyde (as it was back in 1993), so they would likely be 40 or over. Is this someone we already know?

And then Clyde 2.0 - do we know this person as well? I suggested it's part of Alpha. My wife suggested Topher, which was a good thought/theory, but he CANT be a doll as he wasn't affected by the remote wipe/imprint tool that Alpha used.

Alpha will most certainly play a part as the series comes to a close, but if that part is with Rossum is yet to be seen.

I believe in Epitaph One, Echo/Caroline mentions Alpha. Something like "we have Alpha to thank for that", though i can't exactly remember the line. To me it seemed that Alpha did something to help Dewitt and co., but i could easily be wrong.

yeah, that's why at the very end of the last episode, when DeWitt said "our little army is complete", and Echo said "no, we need one more person" i got all giddy, cos I thought she was gonna say 'Alpha'. :(
