I'm working on a costume from Serenity (the one River wore at the beginning at the Alliance).

I noticed that she has something written on the inside of her right arm, and I'm having trouble trying to figure out what it says. (Could it be Chinese...?)

Here are some screenshots that show it.

If anyone has any clue what it says, that would be most helpful! =)

I know this doesn't help with the arm writing, but...

Here is the case I built for my second, and most likely last, screen-used item from BDM Serenity.
It is based on a basketball display case.

Not for the "weapon" itself, but, well, you'll see.

When I bought my prop it was damaged and missing two parts.
I repaired the broken pieces as best I could and cut one replacement out of a model car windshield.
The other piece I machined to match the original as closely as possible.

I was then ready to display my star attraction.

The headpiece worn by River in the Project Oracle lab.

Where is it told that the project was called project Oracle, not that i do not think it was, it´s a good name and all:-)

just curious:-)

P.S the clothing, the gun, badges etc. etc.

am I right that that is what Simon was wearing then he was liberating his sister:-)

Project Oracle is the name put on the graphics for the labratory scenes in the BDM.
In the picture of the patches, laser pistol, etc.;
the graphic in the center is the River Tam brain scan held by Dr. Mathias
while he was talking to Simon.
(It is my other screen-used piece from the BDM.)
It lists the date, Project Oracle, (I think) Area 54 (the graphic is put away right now) and some other interesting 'verse data.

The other source referencing Project Oracle were the Operatives info plates, which he handled before dispatching Dr. Mathias.
There were three of these sold by the Propstore of London.
I couldn't buy them, but I kept the images.
They list Project Oracle, the date of River's entrance into the "program" and an account of Simon's illegal removal of River.

The items in the picture at the bottom are all related to the Project Oracle lab.
The baton, rank pins and uniform swatches are replica pieces to duplicate Simon's high ranking official disguise.
The laser pistol and patches are replicas of guard items.
And as mentioned above, the graphic in the center is the River Tam brain scan held by Dr. Mathias.

thanks, i guees must have a look next time i see Serenity then if i can spot some of those things LOL

lets hope there never will be a government that would do or allow something like that happen to young children, if there should one day show up people with possible beginnings og something liek that mindreading or something else, what is it they sais, that is 95, 90 or 85% of human mind that is not in use yet, and well I once read of a something extraodinary, well it was not mind reading, but well it was a russian girl that apparently could/can change between normal vision, or is it X-ray(the one that is used to see i bones are broken)they should have tested if it is true, and well she do visit the local hospital to help people, and apparently she wishes to be a doctor.

ANOTHERSKY

I have 3 guesses, without good screenshots:

1.) A barcode, as they said.

2.) label or data mark(if it is chinese,it makes me think of the face tatoo on the asian gangsters in the pilot on Persephone).

I wonder if it's permanent or not (ie does it show up in any of the other scenes in Serenity?)
