used to work with kids....so expletives were a big no no....but working with older kids sometimes led to situations where I needed to have some form of verbal release. my favourite two were: "Bug factory" (which was a lovely and acceptable substitute for Bugger) and "fricative" I only once uttered the naughty F word in the presence of kids (extremely extenuating circumstances) in fairness I let the kids choose the consequences for my inappropriateness...unfortunately they made me drink the water apple slices had been sitting in. the water had been left on the side of the sink for about two hours. I was violently ill, but no one at that particular afterschool care ever swore again.
