Y'all probably know 'bout Sonny Rhodes & the hard times he's goin' thru cuz of some health issues.

The SoCalBrowncoats are spearheading a Relief Drive to raise donations for Sonny & his wife to help them meet expenses. He's got two hip replacement surgeries slated for the upcoming months & he'll need all the extra coin he can get, so just wanted to bump this in front of folks again so we all can say xie-xie with some kuai qian (cashy money). I know plenty of coats who have been donating. Just not everyone has the need to come by and announce to the world how much they donated.

Hi BCL. First off, I'm guessing you are NOT psychic, so you could have no way of knowing what my thinking was or assumed need for an ego-boost at displaying for all the BC's on this site just how much I donated to help Sonny Rhodes.

My thinking was, is and always will be: I need to get this item in front of people because Sonny deserves our help and support, plus I don't want to look like a cheapo or a hypocrite who asks others to do something he hasn't done himself.

Also, if someone sees the amount I donated and says to him/herself, aw heck, I can chip in at least $20, then my mission of motivating others to help Sonny has worked. But in the genuine desire I have to NOT look like I was fishing for attentiuon, I have removed the amount I donated.

Have you donated yet? If so, Sonny thanks you. I thank you. I do not, however, think poorly of you based on an assumption of you I made from a few lines of text posted on an Internet board.
