I love the Joss guy and Co, and their work....but am slightly miffed that he didn't consider that a lot of his audience is global, Dr Horrible should have been planned as a globally available endeavour...I have held off getting pirated versions out of respect etc. and because I'm not a thief. But I am pissed.

You can buy it internationally from Amazon, and if for some reason you can't, that's through no fault of Joss and co, but Amazon.

If it's the fact that you wanted shops in your home country to sell it, well, since it was a personal endeavor from Joss and Co, it would've been harder for them to organise that, most costly, and probably not worth it in the end.

I'm from Bosnia and I preordered the DVD from Amazon.com and it arrived a couple of days ago. I watched it twice already.

I actually order a lot of stuff from Amazon.com: books, DVD's and CD's. The shipping can sometimes be a bit bigger but it's worth it. How else would I get all of the Firefly/Serenity goodies.

One really nice thing is that it's a region 0 DVD. No worries about that.

Yeah, it's region-free and can probably ship anywhere. And I haven't seen it in any stores around here, so ordering it has seemed the best option. I'm not sure what you're peeved about.

believe it or not but i just barely ordered serenity blu-ray AND dr. horrible yesterday on amazon and they shipped it at 4:00am Today ! It's less than 100 miles away from me now !

amazon saves the day ! gonna consider all my purchases through amazon ...

Dr. Horrible was available globally online for a while. The Horrible crew arranged for hulu.com to change their computer settings to allow global playing of Dr. Horrible. At some point, Hulu turned the settings for global off.

The DVD is region free. But it is being produced on-demand by Amazon's company.

Lots of languages.

Amazon.ca is selling Dr. Horrible DVD.

There is a page on UK amazon where people can sign up to get an email when Dr. Horrible becomes available.

If you have a different Amazon, you could email them and ask them to put up an email request page too. But I think most people are just biting the bullet and ordering from USA.

If it becomes available in the UK, then fans can get their friends to buy it.

The other suggestion people had, was to contact local comic book stores where Buffy and Serenity comics are sold. They might have a USA comic book store related store that could buy Dr. Horrible DVDs and ship them overseas in bulk.
