Yep, I'm watching it again. Yep, the twerp is back. Yep, his annoying mom, too. :)

But, in earnest, I got words about our beloved Summer. She plays a mean Terminatrix, for sure. But today, when she played "Allison from Palmdale", I realized again how she really excels in that type of role! Like I said, she's got the Terminatrix thingy down pretty well, but the full gamut of human emotions she portrayed in this episode, as Allison, was truly awesome! So much so even, that I actually feel a bit sad now that she primarily plays an emotion-less/poor android.

I can't help but feel Summer was casted for the 'kick-ass' Serenity factor more than for her 'traumatized seventeen-year-old' stuff. I still say she does the latter much better.

I couldn't disagree with you more! On ALL points!

I like "the twerp"! He's a more believable John Conner than either of the actors in T2 or T3. I can see this guy growing up to be the leader Reese told Sarah about. For someone so young, he seems to be handling things better than most teens would.

I also like "his annoying mom"! She plays Sarah with a strength and vulnerability equal to or better than Linda Hamilton's performance. She's a Spartan! Would you expect less? :)

I also disagree with your assumption that Summer was cast only because she could kick ass. I think the producers of this show cast her because she could play both the tough machine and a tortured soul! They writers have certainly given her more than just "an emotion-less/poor android" to play! Arnold could only wish his role had this much depth!

The scene in this season's pilot where she begs John for her life was a very emotional moment, where Summer got to show her range as an actress, and this weeks episode wouldn't have even been considered if they didn't know Summer could pull off the performance. I doubt we've seen the last of "Allison". Kinda like Fred/Illiaria, now that this "personality" has surfaced, I think it will effect Cameron, and how she views humans.

At least I hope we'll see more of this. With the ratings on the low side, I doubt Fox will give this show much more time to build a audience! Considering their past record, I'm actually amazed it's lasted this long!

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.
