Not sure, but heard he was in another contry filming at the time.
Additionally, Jewel also missed out for the same reason. U.S. crackdown on visa permits created delays in processing, and by the time some actor passports had been re3newed, it was too late. The CE commentary waqsn't done right after filming, but after the DVD sold so well.

He was due to be a surprise guest at Serenity 3 in the UK but had to pull out due to work conflicts so it's not as though he doesn't want to be involved in the verse again. His profile has also kept on increasing since the movie (his Othello was one of hot tickets last year) so it will only get harder to get him on board on projects like the DVD.

He's still appearing in Othello! I'm currently not talking to my sister as she bought tickets to see it and DIDN'T invite me!
She raved about how good he was (and she isn't even much of a Serenity fan, she only recognised him when she got there!)

LAWMAN

just saw this movie called dirty pretty things. he is so good and the movie is breath taking. he is such a versatile actor. i think it would have been interesting to see where the operative character might show up at a later point in the firefly series.
