GEOFF MANDEL
Since 1991 Geoffrey Mandel has designed, produced, or animated graphics for Serenity, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Space: Above & Beyond, JAG, Star Trek: Insurrection, The X-Files, X-Men, V.I.P., Star Trek: Voyager, Enterprise, Solaris, 24, Spider-Man 2, NCIS, , NUMB3RS, Las Vegas, Mission Impossible III, Blades of Glory, Lucky You and Dirt. He is the co-artist (with Tim Earls) of the Official Serenity Blueprints ( www.quantummechanix.com), and the author and illustrator of Star Trek Star Charts, an Amazon.com top seller.

Representing Zoic at the convention to answer questions as it relates to SERENITY or any of their other work will be:

JARROD DAVIS
Jarrod started working at Radium on the Firefly pilot, following it over to Zoic, where he’s been working for the last 5 years. He was one of the crew of Firefly for the entire run. On Serenity, he was sequence supervisor for the opening sequence, and also worked on shots from the battle sequence and the shot of Serenity landing on Haven, as well as programming various Lightwave tools for the artists to use during production.

MARK SHIMER
Mark was hired at Zoic midway through the season to help out on Firefly. He worked on 5 to 6 episodes, including reworking some shots on the pilot episode. On Serenity Mark did previz for several live action sequences and worked on shots in the Reaver Space sequences.

The vast majority of our guest celebrities take questions from the audience during their on-stage time. Therefore it is incumbent upon those that ask questions to make them ones that allow our mutual shared time with the celebrities to be enjoyable, interesting and entertaining for all (including the guest). Asking for hugs, telling stars we love them (we all do, that's why we're here), giving gifts (you can do this at photo ops), getting into long personal stories, or worse, is not acceptable for this format and, in fact, is quite self-centered when you are in essence "representing" all of fandom to a celebrity. Join us in trying to make this convention the best entertainment for everyone!

Special Events

SATURDAY NIGHT DESSERT PARTY AND THE GREAT CENTERPIECE CONTEST

Open to GOLD WEEKEND PATRONS only from both the Salute to SERENITY event and The Salute to SUPERNATURAL event both taking place in different ballroom of the hotel during the weekend. This party will feature guests and fans from both series. Party with fellow fans in a night to remember! Throw your diet out the window for one night because we'll have mouth watering desserts to devour as well as a cash bar! Special SERENITY/FIREFLY and SUPERNATURAL celebrity guests will come by, tentatively ALAN TUDYK and MORENA BACCARIN. Definitely one of the highlights of the weekend and only open to GOLD WEEKEND PATRONS. And, the night also features THE GREAT CREATION SERENITY and/or SUPERNATURAL CENTERPIECE CONTEST: bring a cool imaginative centerpiece honoring your favorite (or both) and vie for a $250 gift certificate: let your imagination flow!

SUNDAY MORNING CELEBRITY BRUNCH and CHARITY AUCTION
9 am - Celebrate with fellow fans: a delicious meal, celebrity guests, and a silent charity auction. We're proud to have raised over $1 million dollars for various charities over the years. Join us at this special occasion! Guests join the fun to tour to your table and personally meet attendees. Tentative celebrity guests are SEAN MAHER and SUMMER GLAU.

TheCaliforniaBrowncoats are Coming!
TheCaliforniaBrowncoats are a group of dedicated and organized fans brought together by their shared love for the television show Firefly and its follow-up movie Serenity. Throughout the year the group does various events to promote the show and to support different charities, including Equality Now and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. TheCaliforniaBrowncoats will be participating in the SALUTE TO FIRFELY/SERENITY CONVENTION through a panel discussion and trivia competition. They will be on hand with a booth at the convention so you can learn more about their great work and fun activities.

SERENITY/FIREFLY MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST 2007
Rules: one music video about SERENITY and/or FIREFLY may be submitted on DVD only (please no computer- based media like CD accepted). PLEASE SUBMIT IN NTSC FORMAT ONLY, NOT PAL. Entries are judged on the following criteria: video quality, audio quality, editing quality, inventiveness, song selection, and originality. Humorous submissions are encouraged. Entries can not be returned, and person submitting entry is granting Creation the right to play this entry in perpetuity at Creation events worldwide and/or on line at the Creation website(s). Creation does not sell music videos so your entry will never be sold as a commercial product, just presented at our events/on line. Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate good for Creation products. Winners will be announced and certificates awarded on site at our Burbank event; if you are not present we will mail the certificate to you so be sure to include your return address, phone number and e mail. You may call our offices to confirm receipt of your entry but we do not announce winners until the event. All entries are due at Creation offices October 10th with no exceptions. Please indicate which city this video entry is for.
