Any AFOL out there?

Yeah, you know who you are. I can't say I'm one myself, but I do have a dilemma I need help with. I've got a Star Wars lego mini Y-Wing that I've been unable to complete. The pieces for the Y-Wing came in other sets, and the set with the pieces I need is exceedingly hard to come by. I don't want to have a three-quarters-finished Y-Wing, but how can I get the parts I need? Surely there's some way to find those pieces other than to look for an expensive collector's item...? Any pointers you can give me would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
