Firefly Season2 - what's the story ?

About 6 months ago, I & no doubt many from this board, responded to a survey on Firefly Season2 at http://www.fireflyseason2.com/Index.asp The guy behind it is Ace Underhill, I saw he was also involved in the Ariel Ambulance project. So far I've seen no updates on the Season2 project, does anybody have any news in this regard ?

While many of the BDH's have commitments to other shows / movies I think our best chance is for direct to DVD.

Now that Joss is a free agent and the reasonable success of other direct to DVD movies, is this the opportunity for Joss & Ace to make the impossible happen ?

It was a scam thing, basically. Been around for well over a year. Ace Underhill bankrolled a foreign buy-a-bride website and tried the same website thing with a Goonies sequel before the Firefly thing. The Firefly website was originally registered in Universal's name and address, but he had to change that after pressure from people online pointing out he doesn't work for Universal, and generally funds asshat websites. I'm sure he had some good intentions, but the website looked all official, and the reality is, it is not.

The cast all have commitments elsewhere -- for example, Nathan has a talent holding deal with FOX for "DRIVE". So, uhm, it was never going to happen.
