There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I wanted to keep this separate from the other thread because it involves spoilers, or at least speculation on upcoming revelations on Lost. There are a couple of connections I have discovered on the bonus dvd that relate to things not yet revealed on the show, or at least in one instance I am sure it hasn't since I have not missed one episode of the show yet. So be forewarned...

The first one involves a character that we have seen only once as far as I can recall. The woman who claimed to be Locke's mother has some connection to the mental institution where Hurley and Libby had been patients. I haven't yet followed the other connections that lead away from the screen that just has an image of the institution's sign, and right now I can't even recall if there are more than the three I already know.

The second one is totally speculative. There is one screen that does not have a clear image, but rather is just static, although it briefly clears enough that you can see the silhouette of a man, but not enough for him to be identified. I have found two different instances of a cable leading to such a monitor, but they were individual leads connecting them with only one character at a time. There may be more of these but so far I've only discovered the ones that connect this mystery man to Jack and his father. EDITED COMMENT: - I discovered another one this afternoon, connecting this mystery man to Claire. I had already heard some speculation that the daughter Jack's father went to Australia to visit might actually be Clare.

My speculation is that the encounters between the unknown person and Jack and his father (and now Clare) occured at different times, and I also am guessing it is either an Other we haven't met yet or possibly someone we already know but the encounters have yet to be shown in a flashback.

Bumping this because I realized that just editing a post doesn't bring it back up to the top of the discussions. I'm curious if anyone else has speculations concerning these connections.
