Back in 1989, there was brilliant movie made starring Winona Ryder, and written by Daniel Waters. That movie was Heathers.

Sex and Death 101 written by Waters, and starring Winona Ryder(seen a picture of her from the set on IMDB, and wowzers..smoking hot) just finished wrapping and is in post production, Slated for release in early 2007. Now I'm sorry if the title for this thread is misleading for those of you who want to get philasophical, but this is big, big news.

Imagine if you will Joss Whedon creating the Buffy/Firefly verse, and after they end, he disappears, and becomes a recluse for many years. This is how I feel about Daniel Waters. Brilliant writer goes into obscurity after a few flops.

Here is what I know about the plot: A man (simon Baker) recieves an e-mail about all the girls he's ever slept with, and all the girls he ever will sleep with 101 total. He's happy and everything is going great for him until a girl he meets(who is not on the list) played by Ryder turns his life upside down. Ryder's character in the movie is named Death Nell. and it's rumored her character is a dark fairy.

Now if the plot doesn't sound great please keep in mind that it is from Daniel Waters. He has a gift for great dialouge,(see Heathers) that could rival if not surpass some of Whedons best lines. I mention Waters in comparison to Whedon, because his dialouge is very similar. Funny, smart, strange, and 100% pop culture ready. I can say without even watching Sex and Death 101 it will become another cult classic.

2007 will be a great movie for 80's writers who have been missing for some time. John Hughes also has a new movie coming out. Drillbit Taylor.
