The Ultimate Vacation!

Hello all! It's has been a while since I have been on here( a month or two I think). First, my hard drive crashed, then exams then vacation so sadly I've been out of the looop for a while and hopefully I'm back for good!

Now to begin the purpose of this thread. My crew and I decided to go to Las Vegas since most of my friends have graduated from college. Las Vegas was the choice of our destination. We went for a week and had a blast, but the highlight of the vacation didn't actually happen until the flight home. We had a layover flight from Vegas to Minneapolis, MN. Once we arrived at the airport, my girlfriend and I wanted to eat dinner. My other two friends offered to guard the luggage. As I was walking down the airport I was looking around at people as I always do in crowded public areas and I noticed a guy on his cell phone who looked a lot like Nathon Fillion. I looked over at my g/f and swore it was him, but she wasn't sure.

After I got dinner I called my friends guarding the luggage and one of them checked it out. It turned out to be him! I got my food and dropped it off by our luggage and my g/f (God bless her soul) offered to wait by the luggage. She isn't as much of a fan as my other friends. Then my friend Parker6097 attempted to approach Nathan. Since we are both really shy in person it was actually hard for me to approach him.

When I walked up to him Nathan was sitting with his back against a wall playing with his phone oblivious to anyone around him. I got his attention and asked if he was Nathan Fillion and very enthusiastically he said "Yes I am!". I was at a loss for words and I started by asking if I could shake his hand and get my picture with him. He gladly agreed and asked me my name as we shook hands. My other friend got his autograph. We only talked for a minute or so since I didn't want to bug him and I met him, so I can die happy. Then once I left he shook my hand again and said "Nice to meet you, I'm Nathan Fillion".

So that is my story. Yes yes, I am a Firefly geek, but I still can't believe I actually met him and found him at that airport of all places. Plus I wasn't sure how he'd react to a fan, but he was really nice about it. I'm sure it's nice to have fans notice you once in a while. Well sorry the story was a bit long winded. If anyone else has any cast meeting stories feel free to post! Take care everyone. Stay shiny!
