Read a few threads that mention this - is it just me, or did anyone else not notice that it was a Blue Sun t-shirt Jayne was wearing when River went slice'n'dice on him? She was attacking the corporate logo, not the merc.

Also, all the tins she trashed were BS logo, too.

With the far-reaching influence of advertising (You can't stop the signal, if there's a buck involved) I'd be expecting another little episode somewhere, when River strikes another blow against the military-industrial-MicroCola future!

But then the Fruity-Oaty bar commercial made me wanna beat

up too.

Yes, it was when the show first started back in 2002 the vets talked about it and had heavy discussions as to the reason why which brought up the topic of Blue Sun and the Hands of Blue and it went from there.

But nice to see new people discovering the subtleties of the show..

However, I'm sure part of it was agaisnt Jayne. Remember she feels everything, she can't not, so she feels the animosity and negative feelings Jayne has against her and especially her brother, and Jayne insulted Simon so part of her mind resented Jayne himself the other part was subliminally resenting what the shirt he had on represented so she had a double reason that seemed justified to her. I never liked it myself, but then I'm one of the few people who don't like Simon and River as much. They're on the bottom of my fave characters list.

If I'm a bitch, then life just got interesting
