Lessons From A Browncoat Roadtrip.

1) Do not walk into Red Robin Restaurant and order Mudders Milk and a Fruity Oaty Bar
- (The waiter, after some negotiation, brought a mushroom burger and a mocha milkshake)

2) While attending your nieces college graduation party, let all of her friends know that
"There's some kind of hot cheese over there!"
-(One or two PLU students will actually GET the reference and reply with "It's not as good as last year."

3) When the graduation speaker says, "On this auspicious day", lean towards the nearest person and say " 'uspicious? What day is it?"
-( Don't do this if it's your mother. She will smack you on the arm and tell you 'shush'. And my mother IS a Browncoat. Go figure.)

4) Play Bedlam Bards "On The Drift" cd while driving, with the windows down, singing at the top of your lungs.
-(Don't do it in downtown Tacoma at 5 mph. Tacoma residents can be very scary.)

5) Lastly, do not tell the nice State Trooper that you were going 80 miles an hour passing the semi-truck because you are "A Leaf on the Wind." He will not be amused.

-(However, he may just let you off if you explain that you are on vacation and really really didn't mean to be speeding.)

Gosh, it's good to be home!
