Has anyone else noticed that throughout the series (not so much in Serenity) most of the times Shepherd Book talks, it sounds like his mouth is really dry?

Oh... Well, that solves a lot of mysteries and there have been lots o' posts on Book

A few clues….

1) This is how Book knows so much about cops and their M.O. in most of the show and especially in “The Message”. He had been in and out of trouble with the law and if u don’t know how they operate well…

2) We know strawberries are just one of the special things in his wooden box.

3) River scared of his hair in Jaynestown, c’mon…. she was paranoid. Book broke a lil’ something off.

4) ID card in Safe:
Alliance Guard: "Says here that this shepherd’s got a few possession charges on... yeah, all marijuana."

Commander: "No need to process him yet. Send him in..... Alone."

5) Jubal: “That ain’t no shepherd… He’s got… *cough… cough…* damn, can’t even think about it, without… what we talkin’ ‘bout. Lions or somethin”

Sorry… couldn’t resist…. more would be cool.
