Admittedly I'm completely ignorant about this idea having already been proposed on this site, but I'm new and it seems like a good idea to me. There must be enough creativity and resource to produce at least one episode. I'm not talking about high budget mind you but check out what others are doing at low budget*. We could send in audition tapes, write a script and at least produce something to post on YouTube.com. Could be fun.

At 6'5" 240lbs and gotee I'm a shoe in for Jayne.

Have you checked out stillflying.net? They ahve some very professional seeming scripts to finish out Season I and just started work on Season 2.

Much as I love the idea and the things that have already been produced (notably Mosquito), most of us are fans of Firefly because of the quality of writing, acting and overall production. Fan films from other verse's often come quite close in terms of production, moderately close in terms of writing but quite distant as far as acting goes.

Still, there is such a hunger for new material and there are some very talented people out there. I just hope they are friends with a few pro actors.
