Hi there! Y'all remember River's awesome monologue?

"They weren't cows inside. They were waiting to be, but they forgot. Now they see sky, and they remember what they are."

I was hugely impressed by that! No, I'm not being accurate enough. It felt, I dunno, ... liberating; yeah, that's it.

But I guess only today it dawned upon me why: because it is such a beautiful metaphor for our own humanity. Bogged down by daily life, locked up in shells of self-imposed limitation and loss of hope, it seems we so often forget our true potential. Luminous beings we are; not this crude matter.

Of course, FireFly -- and that is its real strength -- itself draws out the remembrance of being human. Which, if I think about this, gives a whole new meaning to the sky they cannot take away from us. :)

Sorry for my ramblings. It's not much of a real post, but I felt like sharing it nonetheless.
