SciFi.com Serenity DVD ad - Dec 13th release?

This has probably been talked about here a bunch of times, but I just realized that the banner ad on Sci-Fi lists a release date of the 13th.

yes, looks like they put a different date on that one compared to amazon and co. i betcha though that you can order it but by the time it arrived it will be 20th...

did anyone notice how they manage to screw up the ad for the BDM again? that commerical on the scifi channel was horrible!!! why don't they listen for once and make a more enticing trailer :(( this is no way to convince more folks to by the dvd, dammit!!

speaking of bad advertisement, i recently converted a guy in my local record store. they have a sign up announcing new dvd releases, and guess what: serenity was NOT on it. i couldn't let that be of course and so i asked if he would mind putting it up there. he goes: gee, that's right...i never went and saw it in the theater because the ads suggested it is a uninteresting/lame/whatever movie.

goes to show how much damage was done. i immediately lauchned into my omygodyouhavetoabsolutelyseethismovie routine and after talkng to him for awhile he sounded really interested. i also put him on the trail of the firefly tv series (he didn't know about that one)and that it still runs on scifi, onto the dvds and all that. i am sure i have converted him - and he said his girlfriend is a scifi fan too, so that makes at least two more :))was actuallt fun but it goes to show how a bad commerical does frack up the way people perceive a movie...so whoever is responsible for this crap ad, if you read this - IT SUCKS!!! ask people here and you get ideas for an ad that will let the BDM sale soar like a leave in the wind...
