A funny thing happened in Phoenix today...

I strolled into a gamestore (Game Den in Mesa) that I had yet to see in-the-flesh (I live in Tucson so trips to Hell...er, Phoenix are something I try and jam as much into as possible), and I hear...Firefly!

the gorram owner was playing the DVD!

So my wife saunters in from having just grabbed some snacks for the ride home and says "didn't tell me Firefly was showing - I wouldn't have been sitting int he car!" and plopped down, munching away.

The proprietor has _not_ seen the BDM yet. He didn't realize that Firefly had been _cancelled_ (um, a couple years ago? :-P) and was asking me what channel it was on this season...felt like I was in a timewarp.

How does someone love the show that much and NOT know the 411?

sheesh. I bought a book anyway, and he _did_ say he couldn't keep the RPG in stock (though he thought the rules too 'vague'). A mixed bag, but interesting regardless. YMMV.
