Order of episodes?

Does anyone know the original order the firefly episodes were supposed to air?

Click on "EPISODES" - upper right hand corner, main page and the aired episodes are listed in the proper order. They are also numbered sequentially with a gap between #9 and #11 becuase episodes #10, #12, and #13 have not yet aired.

Actually, all the episode-switching (except for "Serenity" was done by Tim Minear (read his "Cult Times" interview). The logic of his decisions is very clear. "Shindig" was an offbeat episode, and it wouldn't be good for building up an audience it aired third. "Safe" directly followed from this. And I'm assuming "Objects in Space" was aired instead of "Heart of Gold" because it was a Joss ep.
So, the correct episode order is:
1. Serenity, Part 1
2. Serenity, Part 2
3. The Train Job
4. Bushwhacked
5. Our Mrs. Reynolds
6. Jaynestown
7. Out of Gas
8. Shindig
9. Safe
10. Ariel
11. War Stories
12. Objects in Space
Unaired: Heart of Gold, Trash, The Message

Another Point: The "Previously..." segment during "Safe" contained a clip from "Our Mrs. Reynolds. Why would they have added this in if they intended "Our Mrs. Reynolds" to air first. etc.
