Howzit, I'm a new poster, but have been around for a while. Anyway, some observations that I've made regarding some people that were torn away from us in an untimely manner, and sorry if these things have been said before (I haven't read everything that everyone has posted, and I don't intend to):

1) On Miranda, River starts freaking out about hearing all those voices that are saying nothing. The camera is spinning around her all the time while she does this, and then Jayne goes over to her and the camera starts spinning around him. When Jayne says "... all these people have died for no reason" (or something like that), the camera suddenly stops spinning and is pointing to Wash (so that only Wash and Jayne are in the frame, but Wash is the one facing the camera). Hmmm... "died for no reason" is sort of the way I'd describe Wash's death...

2) Go to the Serenity website http://serenitymovie.com/main_site.html and skip the intro. Look at all 9 characters in the background. Click on the menu button at the bottom of the page, then on any submenu (story, notes, images, downloads, etc.). A display panel will come up and cover 2 out of the 9 characters, as if they were never there. The two that are covered are, strangely enough, Book and Wash! The mind boggles...

To quote Mal: "... Huh."

I don't think anyone has pointed out either of those two items. There were other foreshadowings of Wash's death, and aftershadowings (Operative: "Innocent people in the air are being killed right now." Mal: "You have no idea how true that is."
