I've been reading here for a couple of weeks in the hopes that I'd hear good news coming from the mouth of Joss or something...but things don't look good I guess. I really thought UPN might be a last resort, and now that they're out, my hopes of seeing the inredible cast act out their wonderfully written character arcs are starting to fade.

Why does it feel like I've lost a friend? For God's sake...this is a television program. Let's get perspective here. But the truth is...it does hurt. My wife feels the same way. This show had something. It was a combination of the acting, writing, character development, and the space cowboy stuff that made this show have that great "feel."

I'm a Whedon fan, and have watched Buffy and Angel from episode 1. But, and it's almost blasfemous to say, Firefly was my favorite of the three this year. Buffy seems to be fading, Angel is decent, but Firefly was incredible. Again, it had that "something." It's hard to put a finger on it, but magic was there for sure.

Anyway, I'm here to say that I want more than anything for Serenity to keep flying, and that's why I joined. Even if we lose some of that perfect cast, the show continuing would be a blessing for sure.

Looking forward to engaging conversation.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome aboard! We can use all the support we can get.

You might want to check this site if you have not already done so:

You will find info on what you can do to help get Firefly back on the air where it belongs.

I could not agree more. Sure it is a TV show. Everyone here knows that, but there were many factors that contributed to the show as a whole that made it far more than that. Lost a friend? That is exactly how I feel about it too. I would look forward to getting home from work every Friday night more for the fact that I knew Firefly was coming on moreso than that it signaled the beginning of the weekend.

Let's hope that we can make someone at a network see that Firefly is a worthy show and should be back on TV so we can share that feeling w/ others for a long time to come.

Thanks. Yeah, I've checked out the site for support, and am just waiting on their update to tell me what to do next. I'm armed and ready to attack with the power of the keyboard.

I'm hoping for a good DVD release so that I can at least relish in the episodes we did have. It's one of the few shows that I would watch two, three, even four times and still get something that I didn't get before. Firefly never got old. It always brought a smile to my face.

Stupid execs who don't know crap....I get so sick of the suits.
