Is Sci-fi channel going to make new firefly episodes?

I watch Sci-fi channel to see Stargate, and thats about it. Sci-fi started running Firefly episodes 1 hour before Stargate, and I caught a few episodes and I was suprised at how good it was.

I hate 95% of Sci-fi shows. They tend to have childish plots, and poorly developed characters that alternate their focus between spitting out non-sensical techno-babble and insulting each other. Firefly is none of the above, its actaully fun to watch.

Anyways, Stargate without O'neil as the focal point of the character interaction is not worth watching... So I was rather excited to have firefly come along as my new fix for sci-fi drama... Only to be let down when I found it it wasn't even a new show, but a re-run with only 11 episodes.

Has anyone heard anything about Sci-fi considering making new episodes? They are stupid if they don't, especially when their Stargate cash cow is turning into a real dog.

p.s. Oh, and I'm going to watch the movie, in the theater. I usually skip the theater, but not this time.

15 episodes(14 if you count Serenity as only one, despite being two part)

And if more episodes are made, which seems highly unlikely at this point, it will be several years and movies later, and likely with an at least partially different cast.
