Back from Seattle and feeling optimistic about Serenity

Just got back to the UK today after a trip to Seattle. It is a really nice city by the way; good food, great views and a cool underground tour.

Anyway, while I was there, I went into Zandadu comics on Thursday to get Serenity #3. By coincidence the guy infront of me was talking to the shop assistant about Serenity! The shop assistant was really friendly and like me, she had seen a screening so we had a good chat about it while I paid.

Later I went to the cinema and on the board with all the film times it also said "Advance tickets for Serenity (Sep 30) now Available". How often do cinemas advertise pre-booking for a film weeks in advance? They must have noticed significant demand for it.

Anyway, the point is that I'm increasingly confident that Serenity will be a massive success. I've randomly discovered quite a few people in the UK who love Firefly and are eager to see Serenity even though Firefly never aired on a major channel here. I get the feeling that it's ten times bigger in the US. I think doing so many previews is very clever and is generating a lot of word of mouth marketing. Box office number 1 here we come!
