Aside from eagle-eyed fans who have their fingers on sci-fi's pulse, how will we know if UPN, or anyone for that matter, picks up Firefly? Has Tim or Joss stated that they will let anyone know when they have exhausted all possibilities? Will we find out when Tim or Joss announces a new show that they are pitching? Will we find out when one of the nine stars appears as a regular on another show? How long will it be before we find out for sure? Gorramit! I can't wait! I'm more excited for news of Firefly than for Christmas.

Viva Firefly!!!!!!

HJERMSTED

We need some UPN spies!!

I doubt we'll hear anything encouraging or discouraging until after the first of the year, so hang tight everyone.

In the meantime, make copies of your Firefly tapes and give them away as gifts. On every tape, include a sticker or little card with the Firefly Immediate Assistance URL ( www.fireflysupport.com).

When can keep buzzing about Firefly no matter what else is happening (or not happening).

Couldn't agree more. This morning my fiance and ma-in-law-to-be walked in to see me still on the computer (I was on when they went to bed), and told me "Merry Christmas!"

Well I replied half-heartedly, clicking the mouse on various links in hopes of news, ANY news but preferably of the good variety.

I know it's pointless to do so til after the industry returns from Xmas break, but... well it's kind of impossible not to. I have to do something with all the pent-up energy from waiting, and not knowing. And it's too darn cold to go out and work on my truck, so here I sit.

Clicking like mad.

Both Joss and Tim posted messages after FOX announced that they wouldn't be ordering any more Firefly episodes. If they have any solid news, I think they'll post it.

Also, the ladies at Firefly Immediate Assistance seem to have contacts within Mutant Enemy, so I'd keep checking in there.

Seems like it'll be a couple of weeks before we'll hear anything. Keep the postcards going out in the meantime. We want to let UPN know that there are lots of fans who care about Firefly.
