The site www.tvshowsondvd.com reports a talk with a Fox exec who updated them on plans for DVD releases this year:

"Space: Above & Beyond was another title in my long list of examples. Originally, [Fox Home Entertainment's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Mr. Peter] Staddon said that "Space A&B might be out in the not too distant future." Much to [site writer] Gord's dismay, apparently the situation Staddon was hoping for has changed for the worse. This time he told Gord that "there are no plans right now". Sorry, Gord, and all the other fans of this epic adventure from James Wong and Glen Morgan...it truly deserves a DVD release!"

I agree and it's time to get out your trusty braincase, stir up the marbles and send your urgings to Fox Home Ent (not Fox TV broadcast unit). Here's the email I used to send a message to Fox Home Ent about Wonderfalls:

foxdrop@4icc.com

It might be worth sending snail mail but I couldn't come up with the address quickly. Later maybe.

Also, you can vote at tvshowsondvd.com (registration required).

Move 'em out!

Well, what can I say. . . this ticks me off, big time.

I've never seen "S:A&B", but I'd love to see it. Guess I'll just have to get my aunt and uncle to tape the show off of Sci-Fi for me. . . unless they've replaced re-runs of it with "Crossing Over". How they can call a show with a medium decent fare for science-fiction fans is beyond me... but maybe their standards have dropped.

Oh, wait, Sci-Fi cancelled Farscape, so of course their standards have dropped. Silly me.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I have really been looking forward to S:A&B being released on DVD. Leave it to Fox to drag their collective gorram feet.

Maybe one day.....

I got a reply from Fox after emailing them about the S:AAB DVDs. They said that there aren't any current plans to bring the show to DVD but they'd forward my request to the people who handle that type of thing.

So that is a maybe on a possible maybe???

What is Fox's issue?!? S: A&B on DVD would sell well. They have nothing to lose putting it out on DVD.
