Fox is playing games again and it looks like "New Amsterdam" is going to get a Firday night time slot, if it airs at all. We need more game shows and Fox is going to prove it. What hurts is people are watching these shows and soon we will be buried in them.
"Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" will probably get more viewers than any well produced drama. So I will pick case number two because that is my lucky number.
It is no wonder shows like "Drive" and "Firefly" don't make it on prime time television. People want to see how much some contestant is going to win by just picking an aluminum briefcase or who is going to get kicked of the island or household by a vote of the contestants.
This is TV's answer to disco. Mindless dribble for the masses.

Scared there for a minute i had no idea what New Amsterdam was but i have one in a fic i'm writing up.

Yeah i gave up on TV when the mainstays changed from Drama shows to drivel like

Big Brother C'mon really Tv sucks and all the shows that used to be a garanteed 7 30 or 8 00pm are relagated out to a spot like 11 45pm and then some muppet asks why ratings are down. People are asleep or getting there at 11 45 you putz. Sorry i hate TV right now.

Most of my viewing is done via DvD boxed sets.

Also No more SG-1 after what ten years.

Hello The Hero Of Williamtown:

I find I am doing the same thing. I buy more and more DVD's all the time. And I plan to buy more.
I am starting to get headaches trying to find something to watch. And if I do they pull off the air or keep changing the schedule.

Well Best Buys and Amason are going to do well if this continues.

DATALESS

Here is how I will handle any show on Fox: I will Tivo the first few episodes (sat 5 - 10) and if I hear the show is canceled I will delete the show or decided to see what they show was like and if Fox made another mistake. I just don't want to take a chance on a show and get so invested in it only to have it canceled after 3 episodes or 4 hours of programing (Drive was the best start of any show I've ever seen and it was a crime that should be punishable by the networks death. By that I mean it should go the was of UPN and The WB. If that does happen it will be by their own hands because people are going to have a hard time watching a show on their network.) I wouldn't get you hopes up for 'New Amsterdam' or 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles'. The best I would hope for with these shows is about 10 episodes.

Look to NBC for good shows Chuck, Bionic Woman, Journeyman and Life. Even CBS's Moonlight looks interesting.
