You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

I just stumbled upon this show on IMDB, and I remember it. Ran years ago on SciFi and I thought it was awesome, and then suddenly it was gone.
It ran for 13 episodes. That's all there is. Familiar and sad, except I don't think there are even DVDs for it.
Anyone else remember anything about this show??

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I remember it, although I am sure I did not see all the episodes. On IMDb they credit three different SF writers with contributing stories to the show, Kelly Eskridge, Alan Dean Foster and James Tiptree Jr. (aka Alice Sheldon). However, I recall when first watching the show there were several episodes that reminded me of John Varley's work. Either it was just a similar idea or else he went uncredited.

Edit Comment: On further checking, I see there is an episode titled "Blue Champagne Resort." Varley had a short story titled "Blue Champagne" and the main character's name was Megan Galloway, which is the name of the character played by Rachel Hayward in that episode. Also, I'd be willing to bet that "Options" was based on Varley's story of the same name.

Yeah, I read up on it a bit, too, and it was based on a lot of different sci-fi short stories and ideas. The only overarching theme was that it all took place in the same city, but the characters changed every episode. Well, every episode that I saw. I didn't see all of them either.
