STOWEAWAY

I never had any intention of watching this show -- even though I am a Slater fan.
But I was sitting nearby while my husband watched it last night and I was surprised at how well-done it is.

It's not as straightforward as the commercials would lead you to believe. Yes, the government has implanted a chip that essentially gives him a split personality. It allows him to live a life without detection by international criminals.
They have a guy who downloads inane details about his "business trips" even compensating for continuity problems like injuries received from life-threatening missions.
The problem arises when his chip malfunctions and he starts switching back and forth from Henry to Edward at inopportune moments.
Christian Slater does a great job. And I really like Alfre Woodard as his boss.
The pilot episode was just the right mix of exciting and interesting. If it's available online, I would recommend checking it out.

It was on last night after Heroes.

So I guess that would be Monday at 10p Eastern on NBC.

I didn't see it because I'd read a review that really panned it. And I'm not sure how they can keep this up for a season or more. But I guess I'll have to give it a try.

Yeah, I read a bad review of it too. That's why I was going to pass on it.

I guess it all depends on what kind of show you like. The opening scene has a moment that's a little shocking, violent, but still makes you giggle. Kinda like "Crow kicked through the engine" stuff.
That's what made me pay attention.

And it's not just the two personalities trying to communicate. They're polar opposites and get pissed with each other -- which makes for some really comical moments. I won't give it away, though. You should watch it and find out.

I haven't heard of anyone else who actually watched it. So this one may be doomed. But I think it would be a real shame.

It's available on Hulu.

And I totally agree with the OP! (Even though I was never a fan of Slater (always seemed like he was doing a Jack Nicholson impression, but it works for him here!))
Really love the attention to detail, and the performances from the entire cast, especially Alfre Woodard and Mike O'Malley.
