I'm keen, especially after seeing the IMAX 3D Superman Returns, but it is a little after the fact - there's a good 20-30% that Donner hadn't shot before he was fired.

I guess this patched up version is the best we can get but still... those Hollywood producers.

Simon, have you ever seen any of the unused footage, like on an extended TV broadcast? They used about half of it in a few...

I didn’t even realize that this represented that extensive a change. I figured it was a couple of short scenes with a CGI Jabba thrown in for good measure. Instead it seems like a completely different movie.

Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.

I am looking foward to this almost as much as I was Serenity last year. Donner's re-edit of Superman was superb, although it wasn't like an overhaul or anything...but this one's gonna be the DVD event of my lifetime. I've seen about half of the footage they're using in the new edit, and have been unable to buy Superman 2 on DVD because I can't even look at it knowing what it could have been.

That time is almost at an end.

Nah, not psyched, really Chrisisall
