Greetings, folks. Our season finale (1x22: “Those Left Behind”) has been sent out to our mailing list, placed in the Blue Sun Room, and will be on www.stillflying.net shortly.

Based on the cliffhanger from our last episode, “Chains,” many of you probably have some idea where this is headed. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the story, I think you’ve got a real treat in store for you.

This episode is adapted from the Dark Horse comic book miniseries of the same name, which is based on a story by none other than Joss Whedon. So, if you haven’t read the comic, this is an honest-to-gorram JOSS WHEDON story that we’re ending our season with.

If you have read the comic, you’ll see that we’ve taken into a slightly different direction, adapting the pacing of a three issue comic book to that of a 45 minute television episode, as well as making adjustments so that it better fits the greater continuity of where we’ve been and where we know we’re headed in Season Two. In many ways, this particular episode serves as a precursor of things to come: Season Two will focus on adapting another Joss Whedon tale (“Serenity” the movie) into a story spanning 22 episodes, re-imagining it as if it were done as a full season of television rather than a 2 hour project.

Please offer comments in the Blue Sun Room, and tell all your friends about us!

We at www.stillflying.net thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm for the project, and hope that you enjoy the finale. It’s been an honor and a privilege to finish out Season One with y’all, and we hope that you’ll still be with us when we return in a few months for Season Two.

Please keep an eye on our site, www.stillflying.net, for information and announcements. We’ll periodically post announcements to www.fireflyfans.net, and will also send them to our mailing list.

If you’re not already part of the mailing list, please send an e-mail to gwek@optonline.net. You’ll receive future announcements and pdfs of episodes and won’t have to worry about missing the first episode of Season Two!

Keep flying!

This is a pretty shameless bump because the message disappeared pretty fast...

Thanks for your hard work!

Kaylee (to Simon): "Are you okay?" Mal: "Is HE okay?" Simon (rushing to River, who is seemingly unfazed): River? River: "I swallowed a bug."
