Guys and gals, go see it. It's funny, on it's own right, and entertaining. I did have a minor problem with the ending, but I'll discuss that once you guys have seen it.

McKinnon and Jones steal this movie, although all the ladies have their moments. The
plus for me was the cameos, done with a touch of class, but the movie was not a
carbon copy. It did have elements of the originals but it was sprinkled generously
throughout the movie. No fellas, this was Girl Power on display and the ladies were more than up to it.

My son, who is a die-hard GB fan liked it a lot, and that's saying something. He can
be extremely harsh if a movie doesn't hold up (in the general sense) and he places
even more emphasis on his favorites, especially sci-fi (he was not happy with Star Wars VII). But this one he liked and he even cracked a smile at the end of the movie.

Now that's saying something!

JUST THE ENDING?? Did you get brainwashed by the nostalgia? The first half of the movie (up to the point where they started talking about lay lines)
made me want to slit my wrists. Starting up again will be painful but god I wish Hollyweird would stop with the awkward humor. It should be an accent, not what you base a movie off of.

McKinnon RAN the movie. She needs a steampunk comedy movie of her very own.
Joss should direct. An equally awesome villian.

The CGI was FANTASTIC. I don't normally even care for the cgi but this one was a work of art. You can tell the people doing it really liked what they were doing.

I don't think I would ever watch the first part of the movie again, maybe the end battle. The cameos WERE nice, but it also sucks that they try to hold the entire movie up and no mention of the previous crew existing in the present reality. Pretty sure the spectro-gizmo will be a toy this year.

I give it a B-, and so did the kid.
