His son is one of the creators and producers of Castle. He also wrote and created the A Team and Magnum PI among other and he now writes mysteries. And Nathan paid him a visit on the special features on the Season 1 DVD. I do know that the WriterCastle Facebook and Tweets are done by the writers of the show.
