Here's the notion...

I've been reading our comics, and it has me thinking.

The style, the pace, and the tone of Serenity comics compares very favorably with the Starwars line of comics (superior, even). Only, theirs are bigger.

They both have the whole motley spaceflight meets dirty underbelly meet good v. evil thing. We use real guns, and (pardon the xenophobia) we don't have to try to empathize with awkward looking aliens. We have a girl who is sensitive to powerful forces, and her slightly less talented aristocratic sibling who's in love with the person who's job it is to keep the boat from falling apart. There's an elder spiritual leader, a girl dressed in skimpy jangling clothing, and a whole BOATLOAD of smart-mouthing mercenaries.

Heck, what's not for a jedi to love?

My point is, seriously, there's a lot these books have in common. We should be sneaking into the places where Starwars fans congregate, slipping into their equivalent 'Other Science Fiction Series' rooms and strikin' up conversation about our comics all casual-like.

Let's call it my "Crosscontami-notion".

Yup, seen that one.

But that is EXACTLY the kind of thing I'm talking about.

It's exactly like a picture from the Star Wars 'Verse. The whole comic is that way. The people, the lighting, the conflict, the hodge-podge dirtiness, the planetary vistas with ships, odds and ends, and strange buildings...

These books 'should' really suck a star wars person in, if we can but lead the horses to water.
