May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site VampireBrad! Glad to have you w/ us.

Where are you from? Just curious as to where they were test screening the BDM.

My best friend saw one of the LA screenings while I was off in Colorado. That sucked.

I only have one question: was it Princess Bride good(under advertized, but everyone's seen it and most everyone loves it and it will never die), or was it X-men good(fans will name it their god, but others will find mildly hokey)?

Obviously everyone who's seen the series once will annoit it as their new and perminent deity, but I'd like to know if I trick all my non-browncoat relations into seeing the movie if they will demand to borrow my DVD set be/c they can't live without more FireFly.

I would say X-Men good, I don't think people that aren't fans of the show or big sci-fi fans (fans of Star Trek) will like the movie that much. A lot of people in the theatre found it hokey and laughed at parts of the movie.

Hey Wilef,
I saw the first screeing in Chatsworth and i would love to know if they have changes any of the "oh come on" scenes. Those few scenes where you say to yourself "that was a bad idea, they should change that" I'm hoping that each screening gets better and better...can you answer some hard-core spoiler questions?

Hey all. Thanks for the welcome, Ive actually beeb a Firefly fan since the start of the show on Fox, and often browsed here but never posted.

I saw my test screening in Thousand Oaks, California with my fiance. How did I get tickets? Easy. One day they were walking around the mall, and handed me a free ticket. It said "Private screening of a Sci-Fi adventure film heading to theaters later this year". I knew RIGHT off the bat it was Serenity. The next day, I got another ticket across the street. The NEXT day I got one yet again at the mall. It looks like alot of people didn't want to go because they didn't know what movie it was. Me and my fiance arrived two hours early, as I was about to shit myself silly. We got in, they announce Serenity, and I jumped up and clapped and screamed. A couple people were pissed because it was some movie called "Star Wars". Oh well. This kicks Star Wars BUTT!

P.S. Stupid newbie questions, was BDM? The only thing I could get was Big Dumb Movie, but I KNOW its not that, lol.

I'm trying to go into this movie as unaware aspossible so as to be surprised, but there are a few things I'm curious about it's form.

1. I heard somewhere that even though all nine crew members are back, one of them won't have much screen time due to other commitments that happened around shooting. Who was it?

2. Is Shoreh Aghdashloo Inara's mom or is she a high ranking Companion.

3. Does the movie have the same feel as the tv series (all spiffed up and polished during the Alliance scenes, but handheld, mis-framed, zoom-in, flare "cheese" factor during the scenes on Serenity, and the Chinese/Western musical scores) or does it have a brand new movie feel to it.

4. Is Michael Hitchcock's character a good guy or bad guy?

5. In it's introduction of the characters and situation, does it re-hash the series too much, or is it done point form, like in THE TRAIN JOB.

Email me at reginaroadie@yahoo.com for the answers.

I'll answer these here because there rally not spoilerish.

1. I heard somewhere that even though all nine crew members are back, one of them won't have much screen time due to other commitments that happened around shooting. Who was it? Shepard Book

2. Is Shoreh Aghdashloo Inara's mom or is she a high ranking Companion. Never mentioned

More of a movie film.

4. Is Michael Hitchcock's character a good guy or bad guy? Not sure who this is...

5. In it's introduction of the characters and situation, does it re-hash the series too much, or is it done point form, like in THE TRAIN JOB. Like the Train job.
